Stack??

Hey everyone, I have been thinking about building a stack for my 317, but i'm unsure of how I can make an elbow. I'm pretty sure exhaust pipe is 1 1/2. We have tons of pipe at our shop, I'll have to find some. Any ideas if how i could make one? Or could I get one at TSC for example??

To make the ell, you will need access to a tube bender. Since you don't have one, most all muffler shops will have, and I would guess they wouldn't charge more than a few bucks to bend your tube. I would get there first thing on a weekday morning when they would generally be less busy.

Lay everything out before you go. They should also be able the expand the ends if you are doing a clamp system. If you are TIG welding, then obviously you won't need the ends expanded.

You can use electrical conduit. Find a contractor (yellow pages) and ask about scrap peices. A lot of times they have 90 and 45 degree bends in various size after jobs are done and clean-up taken back to shop.
It has a galvinized coating and will need to be sanded off before weldind, but will not rust.
