Spraying small pines?

I'm with you on this on getting aboom mower, / masicator. guy came in to clear the gas line using one, (this appears to be a 7' brush hog mounted to the end of a 30' track hoe) blades are mounted much like a brush hog too, only they are 1"+ thick and 2' + l;ong mounted to heavier 3" thick X shapped, (so 4 blades at least on this one as I got up close look see! and was very impressed! lol) it would grind to pulp pretty much any and everything down to the ground that was 6' oaks and 12" soft woods! starts at top and push down just like feeding into a big chipper/shreader! wheh what a noise and oh ya stay back far far FAR back! lol... 3~4' hunks/splinters tossed 50+ feet!

he did 900' in about 4 hrs of heavy fence row flat to ground or to the fence and I got the up close look when it ate a few hundred feet of old rotted barb wire, needless to say the guy wan't happy. (it was an all day job of 7 or so hrs but it took 2~3 hrs clearing the barb wire form the head... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I finally drove the golf cart out to ask if he wanted cutting torch and in about 15 min we were done after that...

Here is what one of the smaller machines can do to some rather large manzanita.

Made a mistake, that was done with a head on an excavator.

Yep, that would do the job. Don't suppose you could drive that down to Georgia for me Fat Man? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think you had the answer earlier. Call either your state forestry or the US Forest Service in your area (if they are there) and get a list of contractors. The photos I posted were from a fuels reduction project on the Eldorado National Forest. The work was done by a private contractor.

Besides, I think my keester would ache after driving one of those things that far. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sell the larger ones for Christmas trees. Lots of people just love taking the family out and cutting their own tree for christmas. Problem is getting the word out at this time..

Just a thought, the larger ones would get thinned out and the smaller ones you could deal with yourself pretty easy.

Murph,
Christmas trees, Hmmm, OK TBN I have free Christmas trees in West Georgia. Come get all you want! They may not win the prize for esthetics but when I see what they charge for trees these days they may just be fine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
