Ideas to dispose of land clearing waste

Another alternative is to just push the material into the edges of the field. About 10 years ago, we cleared multiple windrows that existed in a 17 acre field. The piles were pushed into the forest along the edges. These were huge piles and I figured they would be there for a long time. Within five years they had "melted" to the point that the average person wouldn't notice. Now, I can't find any evidence that they were ever there.

OP says he is in southern New Hampshire. I am somewhere between southern and central N.H.... I often drive by a site that reminded me of the OP's land-clearing project, and the other day was in turn reminded of a principle I had heard of, I think it came from machine shops: don't pick something heavy up until you know where you are going to put it down.

The corollary here being, don't start a land clearing project until you know what you are going to do with the debris... If you have a plan ahead of time you can manage the process, sort your materials appropriately, etc...

For the future...
