speedco wood spliter

HI I bought a speedco wood spliter and used it for about a year now and it ran out of oil damm that stopped the motor I un sized the motor not the motor will spit and spuder and it will not stay running and there is gas coming out of the muffler I am hopeing to save the motor if anyone can help

Check your compression. I will bet those cyl walls on that engine are scored.

Is gas coming out of the exhaust when running, or when just sitting. If you let is sit, and the needle valve is stuck, gas could leak into the cyl and then to exhaust. There should be a gas cut off lever on that engine right by the choke lever.

yes when it is running the gas come out of the muffler

Spitting, sputtering and gas running out sure sounds like a dirty/stuck needle valve to me also.
