You don't need to put the truck up to plow, you need to put the plow down. :D

Sounds like you need a snow blower on the front of something! If you lift your truck for bigger tires you'll only add more stress to it.

Tallest reasonably available and priced tire is 33", whether it be on a 16 or 20" rim. The 20" rim variety are big $.....

i plow with a 2014 2500HD with 32.1" tires on it. I think the 14 has more ground clearance though. What size 16" do you have now, probably 245/75 or 265/75? A 285/75/16 is about 32.5, but you're going to have to crank your torsion bars up and you may not gain enough height with the extra weight of the plow to clear them.

Maybe the front end is sagging because your torsion bars are worn and they just need to be replaced?

Before I got the tractor I went looking for a plow to put on my truck. Since the truck is lifted and modified but in a good and much stronger way than it came from the factory, still no plow maker wanted to talk to me about putting a plow on a modified truck. Therefore I gave up looking for a plow and got the tractor.

Why in the world are you putting the truck in the deep snow? You should be plowing your path so that the truck is on cleared ground. :confused3:

Because there is ice under neath the snow not on purpose I rather just plow but have to deal with ice! Ashes from the outside is good to get unstuck.

I still don't understand why the truck is in deep snow.

Taller tires aren't gonna solve your problem. 3" taller tires, if you can even clear them, only add 1.5" of ground clearance.

Lifting the truck screws up the geometry of the plow. The plow a frame has to remain level or it will be screwed up when angled. If you raise the truck and the aframe becomes on a downhill angle, it won't plow level when angled.

If you don't want to deal with the ice under the snow, put shoes on and plow 2-3".

If you are plowing snow why are you driving threw unplowed snow? A good set of standard size snow tires will go better in snow than oversized tires that are wider.

I drive thru the snow so I don't plow it in the street make sense?

You should be making passes during the storm so the amount doesn't get to high. What if your truck broke and you had to shovel?

If you don't want to hang up your plow truck in deep snow one trick that works is to raise the plow some 3-4 inches and plow off the top layer later plowing away the remainder.

This trick works quite well with slimmer tires while fat ones will float and pack down the snow.
I once needed to clear customers after a major dumping that was higher than my plow blade and that method saved my hide.
Fortunately it was the last storm that season otherwise I'd have been in deep trouble

Most drives were downhill so once turned around I pushed the banks off to the sides going uphill as I had my weight and gravity to unstick me going backwards.
Fortunately that dumping was fairly dry snow.

Today's storm (no longer contract and just do my drive with a 20HP gear drive CUT) is wet and heavy and my blower can't handle a full load so I am using the same technique, raising the blower to blow away the top layer with second pass for the lower remainder.
Next passes I simply use half widths that the blower handles nicely.

So far my favorite tires to plow with are Goodyear Duratrac's. They are severe snow rated.

Are they? Because now I am in a jam.my driveway is plowed except a 100 feet or so I am in the turn look at the pics. and the plow almost took the truck into the ditch! its still on the drive I have to shovel out the right end of the plow spred ashs to get traction.
