Started shopping for a snow plow for the Kubota 4310.
Cannot buy a rake, which I could really use right now, "on backorder", "just sold it" or gold plated unobtainium expensive.
Plenty of snowplows roadside, so the early bird gets the worm Plow.
But how big? The 25 hp Ford has a 6', maybe 7 for 43 hp? suggestions please.

Front (FEL?) or rear plow? How heavy are you, all in (filled tires, etc)? Chains (front and rear, rear, or none)? Flat ground or hills?

It takes very little hp to push snow. It does take weight and traction though.

I use a 7 1/2' truck plow I mounted to a quick attach plate for my 36HP LS. It handles it fine.

Some incline terrain, seeking a front plow with quick release, have filled tires, usually have a drag plow on back as a counter weight.

Thanks.

I run an HLA 7' plow on my L4060 without issue. It covers the width of the tractor when angled, and anything bigger doesn't make my residential work any more efficient.

8' bottom trip Fisher on the L4240. Filled rears and am making a concrete barrel counterweight. Had a rear blower the first year the plow was on it and that was a good amount of weight for traction.

Have a 7' on a Ford 4000(40ish HP) can handle more. The barn door is to small for 8' and to lazy to hook it up in the cold and snow.

Sometimes we get some real storm doozies. Last year was light.
You are bold, wow, that is a big heavy plow.

Knew a guy with 14' door opening, his wife hit both sides with her small car.
We have to know our limits.
