I had mine done in the late 80's. Doc said this injection will feel like a mosquito bite. I'll tell you, that was the biggest F'in mosquito I'd ever felt.
Then two days later I was swelled pretty bad where he stitched up the outside and it was really hurting. So I got out the tweezers and cuticle scissors and took out the stitches. Felt great after that, but my eyes were watering while I was doing it.

The doctor said "this is going to hurt like "heck" for 9 seconds". as he got ready to inject the pain killer into my "tender parts" . Boy was he right. One thousand 1, one thousand, 2.. man I was counting down the seconds.. He was correct, it stopped hurting at about 9 seconds. but those were the longest 9 seconds of my young life.

If you have immune system problems, getting a vasectomy is probably not something you want to do.

Expound please? maybe something to do with the constant re-absorption of proteins still being manufactured in your "swimmer factory's?" with a delivery system with two busted conduits?

Thread revival!

sitting in the recliner with peas on my crotch. Wasn't bad but would dread doing it again. Doc wanted me to take 2 hydracodones and 1 xanax before the procedure at 8. Took at 715 per their instructions. Got prepped at 815, then left to lay out with my balls on display till around 1045! Doc got tied up, I got a nap but by the time they started, the meds had worn off. Besides that, glad it's over. Wife cried on the way home as it really happened but she's the one not wanting anymore kids. Would rather me get it than her since it's so much easier

Had mine in 1975. No pain whatsoever--the Jock Strap is really the key. Regards, Mike

Had mine in the late 80s. Agree on the jock. Pretty uncomfortable without one for the first few days. Little bit of an ache for a couple days, but otherwise all was fine.

I cringe at the thought! I still have most of my original parts and plan to keep it that way.

Daughter just took her male cat to the vet... more than snip-snip. He will be missing two marbles when he comes home and probably won't be too happy.

mark

We had a cat that had that procedure. Picked him up from the vets with him growling and giving everyone and everything the death stare. Was two days before we dared let him out of his crate

I'm good on the shower but I did find a little gem they did. I went to a world renown urologist. The one that pro athletes and The Who's who of the town uses. I've been going to him for years. When I went pee after all the lidocaine had worn off I noticed my scrotum shook more than usual and I felt a tugging. Pulled out the ole flash light and apparently a stitch was placed by the resident that attached the shaft to the scrotum. Gotta call them in the am and ask if maybe I outta cut that one now. Worried about an inadvertent throbber. I can get perpendicular to the body before it starts to get uncomfortable

I had mine done back in the 70's. Similar thing happened to me that the Doc got a phone call and was on the phone far too long. When he returned to finish the job I told him the shot he gave me was wearing off. Didn't phase him at all, just kept on going and I felt the stitches going in on the left (final) side.

But that was nothing to what happened a couple days later.

Incisions were hurting like he!! and swollen around stitches. So I got the manicure scissors out and tweezers and proceeded to remove the stitches. Want something to make your eyes water.... do that.

Felt great after that and I've never had to say "I'm sorry" again...

After reading about all these experiences, I hope no women read this thread. LOL
Considering men are suppose to be so tough, we cann,t seem to endure near the pain women can.
Good thing we don,t have to bear children, and get to take care of the easy part.

Hopefully a few women that have had children will chime in here, just to confirm how soft, we really are. LOL

Had mine done 27yrs ago. No regrets. Lot less expensive and lot less invasive than surgery for the wife. Was back at work the next day
