Im replacing the clutch assembly on a van without pulling the compressor.
All I have left to remove is the coil and due to the hole depth and proximity to the radiator none of my pliers will work. Surely somebody makes one.
Any chance that there is a mechanic who works on those vans or AC nearby? It might be worth a trip and asking what he does.

I have all of these and probably a few duplicates. None will work in the confines I have.
There isnt much room between the shaft and the coil. I need a 90 degree pair with at least 1 5/16” tip reach.
It looks like I am going to unbolt the compressor. Not an easy task to reach the bolts. And hope there is enough play in the connections to allow me to use a straight pair.
I greatly appreciate all the suggestions and there are a few I will probably purchase for future endeavors.

I bought this K&D/Napa set years ago. They don't have the "deep" jaws that you need.

Twelve pliers and I still had to "hack" one up. I was rebuilding my Duofast CN350 framing nailer that I bought back in 1992. At around 16lbs, I ought to sell it as an antique. Anyway, the valve for the trigger had this tiny lock ring that I kept slipping on. It took me an hour of grinding/filing/bending but I finally got it out. Best part, the gun actually works and has no air leaks!

Thats a nice set but I found that no matter how many tools ya got it aint the right one.
I also have a lot of modified to make it work tools.

The cheap KD pliers I've got have worked just fine on everything I own until I needed to replace the kingpin seals on my GC. I'm not totally satisfied with the only better ones I could find at the time but they got the job done, and on the second side too. If I ever come across some real good looking ones I will buy them so they can sit unused until my son or grandson inherit them.
