Looking to purchase a hydraulic post driver, and find I have 2 options in driving bells.

1. Standard flat bell - to me, seems like the best as it wouldn't bust up the top of the post.
2. Domed bell - self centering, but seems like it would beat up the periphery of the top of the post.

I'd like your thoughts. I've owned a big Wrag tractor driver which dropped an 800lb weight. It had a flat plate and worked well. But this is a hydraulic 'vibratory' rock breaker type driver.

My guess is the flat is for wood, the domed or concave would be for pipe or split rods, to center them ... ?

Probably best to contact them as to which would be best for your post type

Called the company, and that's what they said. Flat top wood posts need a flat tool. pipe/weld/etc do best with the cupped for centering.

Thanks for the reply
