has anyone ever fabbed a skid plate for a bx2660 for when the mmm is removed to protect the under carriage from debri while cleaning up wooded area. i have an idea but want to see if anyone else has tried with success. thanks

I made both front and rear protection plates for our BX23 from 3/4 inch plywood and a couple of bed frames that I have been happy with. I would think the same ideas would work on a BX2660. I am real busy until a few days after Christmas but then if you are interested I would be glad to post some pictures.

I built mine before his came out... it IS sweet though. I like the air holes that are "baffled" for lack of a better description. Air can get in, but a stick will be thwarted.

what are the front pins locking into. don't recall any holes in that area but i have not had a chance to get under there to get closer look
these ideas are what i had in mind, i've got plating and expanded metal so either is possible, i assume you got the extra pins from tsc or did they come from dealer.

There is 2 holes up there, they are just a hair under 1/2". I used 1/2" pins that are spring loaded and can lock open just like the mower deck has. It goes up and down with the tractor hyd. and when you set the mower knob to top and drop the 3pt, it comes down a little, then it is about 1/4" from the frame.

Yes. It's designed to allow airflow while still preventing sticks and such from getting to the fragile HST cooling fan.
