Yup, Harbor Fright :) special. Just finished putting up the last of the track this morning. Now I can slide it the full length of the bay.

Not a tool... but for a tool... tired of busted losing their tread wheels on the stick welder at work. Few minutes in the wood shop with a scroll saw and lathe, and we have a new tire company... presenting... Woodyear Weld-Trak!

I bet that will split right through the center hole before long. Neat idea for a temporary fix though!

Wrap a rubber band around that and your good to go.

Laminate some plywood to get the desired thickness and solve the splitting problem

Yeah, that would work or ....... find a piece of pipe the right size and press it over the wooden wheel to make a steel tire. PVC pipe would probably work too, but it's kinda hard to find PVC that large.

Dave, how do they reclaim the shot?

I'm curious about this as well. Picking up cases is one thing but picking up pieces of #8 lead shot is completely different unless you have a lead magnet.

Maple... good WV hardwood.... should be ok for the use it sees. No your run-of-the-mill pine, that would split!

The last I knew those magnets were very rare and expensive to own!
