Made a front and rear blades for the BX, went looking for a new snow plow all dealers were out of stock. Made the blades out of a 100gal upright LP tank.
Wow, I like the propane tank blades. I will remember that when I build my front loader grader blade. I made a grader blade for my backhoe bucket. It is 1/4 inch bent to 35 degrees to form the "moldboard" with a Tractor Supply King Kutter 6 foot cutting edge from a box blade as the cutting edge. I make a plywood mock up of the "glove" mount to slide over my 24 inch backhoe bucket. This mockup let me design it so it would clear the backhoe's boom when I stowed it and the bucket's teeth would clear the cutting egde's bolts. A chain holds it on, but allows it some slop to grade a little on an angle.
The welding shop that bent the 1/4 inch plate couldn't bend 6 feet, so they cut it in half and bent two, 3 foot sections and welded it up.
