Shaving head

I like the feel of the wind in my hair when I am on the tractor, but I can see the aerodynamic advantages of a shaved dome to decrease fuel usage .

I am in the Midwest and of French descent, we had an old tradition when I was young that I thought everyone did. Evidently not, the charivari has gone out of custom and not done anymore around here. Now you might ask "what the heck is a charivari"? The Ole boys from Cajun country or the French Canuks will most likely know. Do you fellers still do the charivari?

The best one I ever saw was in the movie "Paint Your Wagon". But nope, never seen it done in real life.

these days the newlyweds are not available to their friends following a reception (they are off on a honeymoon)...

...could the custom possibly evolved into the practice of "decorating" their vehicles?...this generally alerts others along their travels to the fact that they are just married...

After our wedding reception my wife and I drove around town until we lost 'em. Then we went to an undisclosed location. Double wink!

Actually, we had a close relative that remembered what happened to her and her new hubby on their wedding night and she got us the Presidential Suite at a very nice hotel here in town and didn't tell anyone but us. She said we deserved some peace and quiet alone. We were very appreciative, although the wedding party was very disappointed they couldn't find us.
