Nope, but trying to convince the injured parties attorney that I did not take reasonable care to prevent a nut from coming off does make me tremble. I usually ask myself if I'm willing to risk losing my home over something (assuming policy limits are exceeded). If you are not willing to invest the time into applying some locktite, then that's your decision. Personally, I've been deposed twice and in both instances the effort that would have been required to prevent the incident was dramatically less that the time that I sat being deposed. It's just not worth the risk.
