Seat Safety/Kill Switch

On that seat switch one set of contacts is normally closed the other is normally open. I solved my main concern. The PTO does not cut off when I dismount. Putting the parking brake on when I do is a minor inconvenience.

I removed the seat and disconnected the switch. I then cut a piece of plexiglass the same size as the switch and super glued it over the switch and then reinstalled the switch on to the seat reconnected the wire plug and then reinstalled the seat on to the tractor. Problem solved.

Personally I think the seat switch is a good idea but they need 3 points of contact instead of one...the other 2 being closer to each wheel fender. This would make shifting you weight on grades possible.

Unfortunately the switch was made to appease lawyers not operators.

Is it a repeated clicking? If so, it is a power issue.

Please can anybody can tell me how to disconnect seat safety switch on SC2400......must be frozen in the cold weather and tractor keeps shutting off. (please don't respond with why/dangerouse etc...we are all big guys and girls and frustrating that I can't get my mower out of the garage because the government thinks its necessary to put a safety switch on my tractor..)
