tc 40 seat safety switch

I have a 06 model tc40 that I replaced the seat on with an aftermarket seat. The new seat doesn't have a place to install the switch. I've got it zip tied at the moment and that works but the tie keeps slipping off. I've tried using a jumper wire but can't seem to get that to work. Are there any other remedies to this problem that anyone can suggest? Thanks for any info.
