If an interested party was to call them, I'm sure that they would let you use their favorite escrow company... with a nice looking web site and tracphone help line...

It's a scam for sure....just to see, I sent him an email to inquire about the tractor. Here's his response to my question about coming to see the tractor.....

"I am in Aberdeen, SD 57401 as ive been lucky and i bought a great farm here and the tractor will be shipped to you for inspecion as soon as you take a decision.
If you are really interested in buying it here is how we can easily start this transaction:
You will send a $2000 downpayment through SquareTrade Safedepartment for me to be sure that I won't send the tractor and then you won't be interested anymore. I will not receive the money until you will receive the tractor. They will contact me when
they will receive payment and I will immediately start shipping the machine. You will have 10 days to inspect the tractor and to decide if you want to keep this tractor or if you want your money refunded. If you will be satisfied you will send the remaining amount.
If you agree with my idea please provide me your full name and address for shipping,
so I can initiate the transaction through SquareTrade Safedepartment.
After that they will contact you with transaction details, invoice, payment instructions
and more information about SquareTrade Safedepartment protection.

Please let me know if you are willing to buy under these circumstances."

2002 Model? nah...maybe worth 10 grand. The back hoe is the only thing that gives it any value above the asking price, assuming a quick sale is really necessary.

Definintely worth more than 10 grand. I got 10 grand for mine ('01 with 400 hours) this Fall and it didn't have a backhoe.

Kind of strange.... I asked questions also and here is the response. I also rec. the same pics from the ebay site.

Thanks for showing interest in my tractor.This Machine Starts easily and runs-out well. The paint is nice, and the machine is very strong. Everything works great. Engine starts and runs good. All it has done is moved a little snow and tilled a garden for one season.

Just for interest sake the writing on the replies would seem to indicate English is not a first language. The diction would also seem to indicate a complete lack of farms or tractor knowledge and financial transaction directions are something else again.

This seems like a job for the Attoney General's office to investigate. Many people are running this type of scam from overseas. They get a down payment and are not heard from again until they do another scam. They are part of the reason I never buy over the inter net.

One of the key points here is that the person asked for a $2000 down payment. Back when I was originally looking for a tractor the thing that turned me on to CUT's was an Ebay auction for a BX22 that turned out to be bogus. I figured out that the auction was bogus because I kept at the person auctioning the tractor trying to get more and more info out of them and eventually they just shut down and would not respond to me. The $2000 figure is important because I it is probably some sort of break point below which Square Trade will not insure it or some such thing. In the auction I saw they wanted a $2000 deposit thru a Western Union money transfer - and $2000 was the limit on those types of transactions. Things like that and the bad English are good giveaways that the auction is bogus.

This scam may be going on now. Look at the classified section for a kubota 2410 hydro with a tiller. I was sent the same information word for word. Today i was sent the serial number of the tractor B2-410HSD51838 Can anyone tell me if this deal is for real? If it is real i will buy the tractor, red flags are flying up everywhere now. Can't be certain because something is wrong with EBay and I can't search completed auctions. I suspect that it is the same scam. The guys email address that I corresponded with is:
