When you advertise a car or truck for sale you will get plenty of scammers. Most everyone knows not to accept a check or even an out of town cashiers check as many of them are fake but here are other scams to watch out for.
People will text or email you asking you to give them a copy of a vin report from certain places like legitcarscans.com or buildsheetinfo.com to show all the features on the vehicle. You have to pay to get these reports and others and they are all scams by the people who own these sites.

Always Google these sites asking if they are scam sites before buying a report. These texts usually come from a foreign country and they text you so you can't hear their accent and they come from fake numbers and if they text you 2 or 3 times they may be from a different fake number each time. You can use whois.com to find out if the website is registered in the US or a foreign country.
