Is that the correct terminology used to describe this?
I’m not seeing any videos showing the single disk like this has?
Maybe it’s incomplete?
I’d like to understand better how it’s used
Are there different sized disks ( I believe there are ) and how does that affect the end result.
I understand that this is a toy to many of you guys with bigger tractors.
It is original equipment for my older tractor and I do believe it can be made to work on this smaller scale gardening.

Hi 1930, I've got something like this last photo. It's used for making rounded/piled/rows for planting crops in. Potatoes, corn, etc., etc. I forget exactly what it's called but I think its called a hiller.
On mine you can adjust the width of the harrows by sliding them closer together or farther apart. Gives you a fatter or narrower row.
It's used in areas that have been thoroughly worked up already and the ground is soft for shaping. I used mine after tilling well. I haven't used mine in quite a few years though. We quit with the large garden - was just so much work to tend. Now that I'm retired I may get back into it though!
You've got the right equipment on hand to do a good garden though. Just plug away and you'll figure it all out!!

We call it a hiller. As Gregster mentioned it's good for hilling potatoes. By moving the discs closer together you can use them on corn.
Wider apart -about where they are now- they make good raised beds for seeding beds and planting deep rooted vegetables like carrots amd beets. If you're clever you can modify them to make raised beds, lay plastic and bury the edges all at the same time.

I'm not clever.

Others are correct but I will add; there May be additonal tools that attach to that tool bar other than the hilling disc's. You may be able to get S sweeps that attach with a collar to that bar, as well as other impliments. Here is a row opener and a middle buster that can attach to a similar tool bar as you have

You're quite right Paulsharvey, I didn't mention them but they are available. I've got the middle-buster as a separate implement and have used it also for quite a few various tasks I've done.
I thought he was only asking about what he showed as already owning. We TBnrs often spend others money for them! There are "a lot" of other items he "could" buy to make his tasks much easier, but that's his choice!

Hillers are often used in conjunction with Danish sweeps or similar, as the hillers won't move much soil if its at all compacted
