Use instant grits to get rid of the ants. Just sprinkle the grits around the ant hills. Works as well as chemicals and environmentally friendly.

Maybe the instant grits expand inside the ant during digestion, causing horrible stomach aches before finally cracking the little bastages open. Shame it didn't happen really fast so you could hear the small 'boom' noises... ...maybe 'snap crackle pop' would be more appropriate, following ant-size groaning noises.
