I had the same problem, except the ant were fire ants (this is TX). Anyway, I found the best way to level a couple of acres was to invite my mother in law over for dinner. After dinner I quietly lassoed her, with the other end of the rope attached to my tractor (the drawbar, of course, for safety reasons) stomped on the forward pedal (hydro) and took off. It only took two passes around the pasture and it was perfectly leveled out. I found the action of her arms and legs flailing on the first pass broke up and re-distributed some of the harder dirt. By the time the first pass was complete, she was too tired to fight anymore, and her weight and size seemed to smooth and compact the dirt at the same time. A quick hose off when it is all done, and she was clean. My MIL, on the other hand, I just picked her up with the FEL and dumped her in the horse trough to get the ants off her.
