Rollover paranoia

   / Rollover paranoia #52
Some men have good reason to fear being crushed in a rollover incident, especially while they sleep!

If I'd rolled my tractor and lived to tell the tale, I think my avatar would at least feature an upside down tractor. :D Just sayin'...

Saw a tractor rolled over driving into town yesterday. Looked like an Oliver w loader and brushog on the back. Completely upsidedown not just tipped on its side. No ROP.

I bought the combo tilt/incline meter from here.

And my pucker factor is at 10 degrees.
I will take more time to approach a task differently, if current position reaches this point and see no return back to zero degrees.
Thank God you lived to see another day.

And appreciate sharing your experience with the community.
As this incident can be replaced with any name out here.
I had the same feeling when my ZX10 slid out from underneath me. Sandy crowned road.
The raw hamburger meat of my hip at the hospital was a sight I will never forget.
My CO didn't chew me out but all of the staff had fun for a week as I limped around the motor pool.
After that, I kept sweeping the road for all liquids and debris that could get me again.
But the pucker factor stayed with me a long time. And that was a good thing....
Thanks for sharing!

I've decided that it doesn't matter how many times I mow around my pond, I'm always going to be uncomfortable with the side angle in certain places. The only solution that I can think of is widening my tires. It's been raining all week, and too muddy to mess around jacking up the tractor and moving tires around, but once it's dry, I'm going to do that before mowing around the pond again!!!

Would it be practical to just eliminate the need to mow around the pond? I know Glyphosphate is no friend to aquatic species, but would it be possible to redo the skirt in river rock and somehow eliminate the grass that grows there?

Mowing looks really good when it's done, and I've been doing it for years. I'm just not getting used to the angle, or the fear that it's going to roll on me. I think widening the tires will make it more stable, and hopefully, less uncomfortable
