Universal 32 LED Motorcycle Flexible ATV Tail Brake Stop Turn Signal Strip Light | eBay

Got them from ebay offerd 4 dollars per led strip, I purchse a total of 10. 40 bucks total. Wiring i ill have to come bck too and ill show pictures.

Give me a lil bit and ill open the wiring on one light and ill wxplain what is what,

Thank you! This seems like a good solution! I wasn't that worried about the replacement cost. I was worried about how mad I'd be at myself the next time I accidentally hooked one and broke it off.

I'm going to try to order and do this modification. I appreciate your help.

115 bucks.

I'm considering whether to do it or not, cause I hit the same one again, ripped it off, plus ripped out a wire.

Consider yourself lucky - I just tried to replace the left hand light assembly that had snagged a branch and was quoted over $NZD500! I'd be happy with $USD115

Sorry that i havent posted a how to for the lights. I have been real busy with work the last 2 months. Pulling like 14 hr days. I will give a heads up,that the lights i bought do not seem to be well built, as some of the led lights are crapping out. For example i mean out ofmthe 18 leds 2 or 3 are having a short flickering on and off.

I actually took my factory ROPS lights off this past week. I've glued each one twice, so after I knocked it on branches mowing again - I said forget it!

I've moved entirely to an LED lightbar up front, two LED rectangle lights on the rear of the ROPS, and two 4" square LED lights on the backhoe boom as well as a vertical brake/tail setup on the backside of the ROPS. I think I have more lumens now than our city plow trucks.

All I can say is that I can do anything in any weather now, even at night. I highly recommend moving to a LED setup, even though you don't have a TLB, it is still so much better than the stock setup.

Here is what I bought and I've had zero issues in the last 6 months:

Backhoe
Rear-Rops
Front-Rops
Brake/Tail-Lights

Jonohio,

I'm a little amazed at how much electrical draw you have added because of the lighting additions.

By my calculations you've added 4 x27 watts plus 2 x 36 watts plus 180 watts. While it certainly must add substatially to your lighting capabilities . . . In watts used by led . . . It seems a bit excessive in wattage draw and space taken by lighting don't you think ? It appears you've added 7 lighting units plus tail lights. 3 x18 watt units should have given you a substantial lighting improvement I would have thought.

Not being negative . . . just seems like a lot of housings place that don't catch or interfere with operator or tractor use.

How about a couple pictures to see how crowded it is or isn't ?

Good questions axlehub, one clarification - only two square lights on the hoe, the other two are extras for another project.

In all honesty it is probably overkill, but it's only really three lights on the tractor and apart on the how boom. It is not cumbersome or clunky at all. I usually use the rops lights (led bar and two Peyton) most of the time. I only add the hoe lights if working at dusk/night digging (which I have yet to do).

With our blustery winters and lake effect I wanted everyone to see me even if it's a whiteout. The last thing I want is an incursion with a vehicle who can't see me clearing snow in the wee hours before work.

I forgot to mention that I also have a magnet mount strobe that I use on the side of the rops when it gets bad too.

Yeah, it sounds like a lot but it meets my goals. I ran extra relays for the bar, rear rops, and hoe lights and wired with the appropriate guage cleanly wherever I could. The 40 amp alternator handles the 25 amp load with no issues.

The tractor is in use at my sister's now but I'll take some pictures when I get a chance.

Sorry for the blurry pic. The cell camera didnt want to stay focused with the leds lights. Ill take soke better pictures when im all dome with both sides. Im happy with the brighness so i order the other side. All together i will spend 40 bucks. A total 10 leds strips. 5 per side, I put 2 in the back, 2 in the front and one on the side. Way better then stock!

How are they holding up, do they have all the same functionality?

ive busted one 2-3 times now, the shroud just doesnt cover them enough

Ooklaa,

Just checking to see the following:

1. Are you happy with your added lights/lighting now that you've had some time to use them?

2. With hindsight available . . what would you do differently than you did?

3. Are there any adfitions you plan to make to your lighting situation.

Jonohio looks like he turns "night into day" with his setup. I'm still waiting fir time to install the lights I've had for a year lol. And still looking for just the right switches to make them work (1 switch for front lights and 1 switch for rear light. (All 3 lights are 18 watts each low profile wide lights of cast aluminum with no sharp corners or edges) . . 6 leds per light

The lumens of the lights are really bright. The placement of them excellent. The quality of them, eh but for 4 dollars a piece you cant complain. A far as holding up they havent seen a winter yet but they sure have been in the rain and heat. Msome of the leds seem to be loosing contact as they flicker. A nice push of them will get them to be solid again.
