Replaced the outdated fuse panel in my YM2000 tonight

I just copied what the VN importers were doing back in the day. Original fuses replaced by in-line holders for glass tube fuses. Ugly but I've never blown a fuse. Today I would do this with blade fuses.

Purchased the fuse box conversion kit from Hoye.

I was torn between it and the generic replacement for about 1/4 the cost from Amazon or Ebay.

I'm glad I purchased the kit from Hoye. It was direct fit and was shipped with clear instructions.

I had to remove the fuel tank but that wasn't that difficult.

Upgraded the fuse panel on my Ym2000

I dont see a negative wire going into it?

Never seen this fuse block conversion, and I don't own a Yanmar. But if it's just a fuse panel and contains no relays, then there's no reason to have a negative wire going to the block. Fuses are only required on one "side" of the circuit.

Having trouble with old wiring myself. Mostly wiring and dirty switches. The only Ground on a YM2000 is the battery Ground to the frame. Which I have had trouble with the cables also over the decades of use. Replaced the cables and connecters.
