Replace Reflective Tape with Lights

Can I remove the reflective tape on the rear fenders on my TC35A with workin lights and still be legal when driving on the street? Thinking of using one of these lights below.

How about using both? That way you have good reflective visibilty as well as lit visibility.

I don't see why not since reflective tape is so they can see you. The lights will work much better.

Yeah, and get rid of those stupid lights on the rops. It took me exactly 3 hours to knock mine off.

( The lights will work much better )

Unless there's a short. Then you may be wishing you still had the reflective tape on because you know the only time you will lose your lights is while out on the road at night.

But you still have the reflective metal triangle right? Maybe that is only a state specific law?

Yes I still have the reflective triangle on the rear. Just want to remove the reflective tape and replace with lights for more exposure.

Randy I believe that I understand what you want to accomplish and think your lamps not only a good idea safety wise but also much better protected than the OEM lamps.

I think the lights would be a nice addition - it appears the fenders were actually molded with lighting in mind - some engineer must have introduced a cost savings in the production process to replace with reflective tape.

Hopefully you can route the wiring in a protected area.

I agree with Pineridge that the fender lights would be better protected than the ROPS lights - I had a tree limb rip the entire housing off on side of my TN - but nothing a little duct tape couldn't take care of.

BTW - Nice looking tractor you have - I like your FEL handle
