Removing Mower Deck on D170

Hi Guys,

Yesterday while mowing I managed to drive over a rather large stone and bent blades of the mower. Stone was not there last year and I can only assume that the freeze and thaw cycle has pushed this up to the ground surface:confused2:.
Anyway, I would like to remove the deck so I can check spindle trueness and housings as well as remove and replace blades.
Has anyone done this ? If so how is it done ?
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for. I cannot find the owners manual at home, so the PDF version (now downloaded) is going to be of much use to me.

I got the deck off, repairs made and replaced the deck without any real problems. Was surprised at the weight of the mower deck - I guess 54" is a big size.
Thanks for your help. It really wasn't too bad once I read the instructions (which I didn't have before) and watched the video.
