I am a plumber by trade. All the comments are pretty much as it is. I install a pump on almost every house I do, over 1400 square feet. This luxury and energy savings don't go together. The model sold by my supplier, for reto fit, is the under sink model. It has a temperature sensor that shuts it off as soon as the water is hot ,so as not to fill the cold line with hot water. I personally have my piping insulated and let her bump. I tried it for a few days without it, and decided it is a luxury worth the price.
