rear view camera

I bought a rear view camera and display from NAPA to put on my cabbed tractor for use during snow blowing. It ended up being pretty worthless as the quality of the display is so bad and focal depth so short. Can anyone recommend a good quality (and hopefully affordable) set-up to purchase so I don't waste my money on another bad choice?

Good luck! Trip around on here. A few weeks ago someone on here did just what you are thinking about doing. The camera would get even a few snow flakes on it and would be worthless. I think the solution was mirrors....mirrors may have been the topic

My L3200 has had a camera for several years. It is handy to glance at before backing up just to make sure it's clear. It isn't nearly as good as turning around and looking. The L4240 has mirrors that are a bit more useful. When I was a kid I became pretty adept at using mirrors driving a box truck on the road and a Euclid at a quarry.

Yes, I've looked at them. These cameras look exactly the same as ones on Amazon at 3 times the price. I've tried researching a bunch on this, it seems many of these systems are made by the same company and same place (mostly China) but the resellers put their prices on them.

Are the anti-vibration specs the same on the other cameras? Just wondering.:confused3:

Got on EBay or an offshore vendor where you'll find some well under $100.
LOL, just be patient as delivery will be slow.
Been there, did that and all rear view's worked out fine for me.

Shucks at the savings by a few!

I have one on my tractor going onto 3-4 year and our cars as well

Also most displays will accept 2 inputs so maybe get extra camera to front mount.

I've never had luck with a rear view camera during snowblowing. Even mounted inside the cab the amount of snow drifting over the rear window quickly renders it useless.
