I have a 05 990 FWD and I need help deciding which rear blade to buy. Right now I have all frontier equipment and I like to keep the color's matching /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif but I have seen some nice blades. I would appreciate some help on my decision, I am looking to spend up to about $700 maybe more just depends. Also what size blade? I thought 7 ft? as long as when I tilt and angle it it is still as wide as the tractor I am happy.
Thanks
Brandon

I would go with a 7' blade. I bought a LP 72" for my B3030 and when I angle it it is almost to short to stick out past the rear tire.

My landpride rake is RB1572. The 15 is the duty series. It works great for snow or loose dirt but I wouldnt recomend that light of blade for moving hard soil. I'm not sure of other brands but if I were going to be grading hard soil I would be looking for a heavy duty series. Landpride makes quality implaments just very $$. King kutter makes good stuff. Not very pretty but effective. King kutter makes std duty and heavy duty. Good luck.

I think 7' would be perfect. I have a 990 and built this blade for it. It's just a tiny bit under 7' and has proved to be a perfect size for me. Much larger and I wouldn't be able to pull a full load of wet snow with it. Any smaller and I'd be wishing for a bigger one.

Definitely do get the heaviest duty blade you can. It's not hard to put a HUGE amount of force on everything if you hook a corner of the blade on something. Mine has held up very well to my abuse but I imagine a light duty blade would get bent up before long.

Yeah I certainly need a good heavy duty blade. I have about a 1500 ft drive of gravel which isn't a big deal and then my neighbor has like 3500 ft of dirt and I need to drag the ditches and level it out. Same thing on some of my back roads and the roads on my hunting lease. I think I am going to go look at the frontier 7 foot blades. I will buy the heaviest duty blade my tractor can pull just wondering which brand /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
