I have a Kubota B2320 with 264 hours on it. Is it common for this unit to have glow plug failure. When I start it now it fires on one cylinder for 10-20 seconds then picks up and starts on the other 2. I haven,t called my dealer as it is Sat night. Any input??

Glow plug testing is a simple matter. I have had no problems with the BX2200 but I have had with my VW diesels.
First remove the glow plugs. Then you can use a jumper cable and clamp one end on the - batt post and hold the body of the glow plug in the other end,you can touch the top of the plug to the + batt.,post and see if it lights up. A good glow plug will turn red fairly quickly.
Plug life seems to be hit and miss.

Or - you can use an Ohm meter to test the resistance across the plug. I would have to check the shop manual to see what the resistance is supposed to be. However, if you have an open circuit, then that's a clear sign that the glow plug is bad.
