“No problem“ is the reply that irks me. 😠 How about yes sir, sure, ok, or your welcome?
Uh oh. I use "np" in text messages all the time. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The response that always confuses me is "Yeah, no". When I look it up on Google I see this as a breakdown of what it means:

Why does it bother you so? "You're welcome" is kind of a meaningless phrase. Is it just because you were taught that?

If I thank a waiter for refilling my tea glass or a checkout clerk for taking my money, No Problem isn’t a proper response to me. You just did your job, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
But I was ‘raised right’ :giggle: . Good manners I suppose.

What makes you think you deserve any response?

My Pleasure is the customer service Dad taught us...

He didn't like No Problem unless there is a problem and you could make it go away...

I would sure hate to live in a world where a simple pleasant courtesy is not offered and returned. I would not hair split the words, I would smell the roses.

Open a door for many women and you will find there are no roses to smell. What used to be common courtesy has become a sexist act.

Yeah, I’m careful about that these days. No more rushing forward to get the door unless I know them.
