The [emoji6]. hemi is awesome, pulls hard. The [emoji[emoji6]] speed auto is the best transmission in the business.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions and advice. I have looked at a couple, have settled on the Tradesman or Big Horn package. Haven’t found one quite yet but actively looking.

Why not just order one, and get exactly what you want? Pricing at my local dealer is same, whether you compromise with one on the lot, or special-order exaclty what you want. Deliveries are running around 10 weeks, recently, I'm 1.5 weeks into delivery on my own.

I can’t afford a new one. I am looking at staying below [emoji6]k.

"emoji6"k? :ROFLMAO: Here's how your posts are coming thru, today:

In any case, did you have your dealer do a search on Chrylser Capital used inventory? I did that for my last truck, since I bought that one used, off-lease. They had many thousands of used vehicles in inventory, IIRC.

I’ll check that thanks. Not sure why some of my posts do that. Quite annoying

But given my schedule and number of other ever-unfinished projects on my list the last two years, I suspect I won't be getting to that any time soon.

I do think my retirement could closely correlate with expiration of warranty on that drivetrain... so maybe then? :ROFLMAO:
Shortly after getting my '17 C&C I bought a complete delete kit (on my dealer's recommendation, no less) since it ran so poorly.

Well, now the warranty is long gone, but the kit is still in its boxes on a shelf. My guess is that I'll never get to it, mostly because the 3500 runs just fine as is.

There’s lot of other problems in the other brands, too.
I’d rather deal with the 1 in 10,000 chance my grid heater bolt falls out than Ford & GM transmission problems. As was said, it’s a relatively cheap & easy fix.

GM has a MASSIVE engine recall in their V-8 gas truck engines. They tried to tell their buyers that changing the oil would solve the problem 😆
GM sold transmissions badged as “Allison” transmissions, when they were not actually Allison transmissions. :poop:

How would you like to own those problems? They are problems that cannot be fixed.

And you’re bloviating about hydraulic lifters or a grid heater bolt? I haven’t had any problems with either of those in 6+ years of hard work towing.

Ford built 100’s of thousands of defective diesel engines for years, which I had the displeasure of owning (6L & 6.4L).
Ford still used the CP-4 “glitter bomb” fuel pump in their newest diesel, and they tell their customers “we replace the CP-4 after it fails”. Great so Ford owners wait until the glitter bomb leaves them stuck in the middle of nowhere….sign me up!! :ROFLMAO:

Ram replaced CP-4’s before they failed.

Ram has longest warranty by far in their trucks. That means they have more confidence in them.
Oh believe me, I still think RAM is the better choice these days.
