Quick Attach Recall

   / Quick Attach Recall #11
Just got a call from the dealer about a recall on my 2017 ck2610. I have the older 26?? loader. Apparently the spacing on the quick-attach is incorrect and implements have been falling off the tractor. There's a new plate to fix the problem that has to be installed by the dealer.
Mostly on your dime to get it back to the dealer for the fix. Kioti will reimburse $1.50 a mile, up to 100 miles.

I'm not happy as it's going to cost me a few hundred dollars to get it to the dealership.

Anyone else get the call?

Hmm, I suppose I'll be keeping my eyes on the mail, as I'm running a KL4030C as well.

If that is a RECALL why is any of it on your dime? Sounds like it is a simple enough fix that the Dealership should be making house / farm calls and invoicing Kioti for the trouble.

Warranty (and presumably recall) work does not include transportation, or the cost of, lame as that may be; it's right on the warranty page of the Kioti website, if I'm remembering right.

Yeah, that is the way it works. I had my dealer install 3rd function kit during sale prep and it is leaking underneath the tractor. "Bring it in and we'll fix it up", except I don't have a means to haul it 40 miles each way and they charge a couple of hundred round trip.

It is a very small leak, I check fluid every use and have not had to add. Just a little wet spot where I park it. It's kind of like having a new puppy. I'll wait until I have to take it in for something else, hopefully never.

I wonder if I can just bring them the loader without the bucket. I can rent a uhaul trailer for maybe $25.

My tractor falls under this recall also. I called my dealer, they did some investigating, and they told me it’s a couple plates, that are to be added to the existing unit. He said they show a template, and some small metal strips, so he is guessing they have to drill, and attach said small plates. He’s gonna order the parts and call me when they arrive.
