Put in a new Battery, got nothin' - I am not dumb, but maybe I'm not bright?

I bought a LS tractor knowing diddle squat about tractors, but man do I love it now. I put in a new battery for the winter, I got nothing. I checked the terminals, clean. I checked to make sure I didn't put it in backwards. I tightened it down with a torque wrench. I swore at it a lot. I am not getting lights, dashboard activity, not a sign of life. I know nothing of tractors but I am ok with cars. Does this have a starter solenoid? Is there some sort of reset button when you change the battery that I cannot find? Anyone have any ideas apart from taking it to a shop 200 miles away?
Have you looked for a safety kill switch on the seat pedestal? Maybe a neutral safety switch? Good luck. There’s people here a lot smarter than me. Someone’s got your answer.

Check all ground wiring especially the one that's connected to the chassis frame. Clean all connections. That might be your problem.

I had that issue and it turned out to be a blown 60amp fuse near the battery.

I had this exact problem recently, or a variant of it, on my older model Kubota BX2350

it started with that the glow plug would come on, but as soon as I turned the ignition on, everything would click off, (a relay click) and the no power until I waited a while. Then after a while no power at all.
Through some random lucky wiggling I traced it back to the ground wire from the battery to the chassis. This thing was NOT easy to see, behind the FEL arm and hydro jacks. The battery ground wire had somehow managed to pull out of the lug that attached it to the frame and only had a loose, or non-existent connection. I would get some power when it barely touched, enough to do lights and glow plugs, but not enough to start it.

You might try tracing your battery-neg ground wire and making sure it's intact.

One can buy a volt meter for around 10-20 dollars and you will have a useful tool that with care should last many years.

And you've obviously looked at the safety system thats included on everything now? My kioti needs the seat filled, HST in neutral and the clutch depressed.

The seat switch went to the landfill first, next will be the gear selector when I get time. The clutch says does and controls all.

Equipment never had these safety features years ago. In the 60s, the owners manual gave instructions to adjust the points and some of them had user adjustable valves as well. Now car companies tell you to "NOT drink the battery acid".

And if that doesn't solve it, swear louder.
