Mine is a "Winco", it's worked perfectly since day one.

There's lots of good brands, that just happens to be the one I found at a good price and has a good rep for quality.

Auto,

What do you want to use the generator for? You mention two examples with widely different capacities. Nobody can give you a sound recommendation with out knowing what your requirements are.

Looks like label on first link was a typo - the linked product says 10KW ...

BX25 With about 23 gross HP will have maybe 18HP on the pto which will carry 12KW of electrical load. A 15Kw generator would be a good match.

I agree.. a 12-15kw generator is what I would get for that tractor. The 15kw will give you some thermal 'leeway'.

I would have some concerns about the first vendor listed (pandu generator). The price is 1/2 that of the second vendor for the exact same item (bare 10kw pto gen) & located outside the US (Jakarta).

I was thinking they recommended 2 hp per Kw. One thing I wouldn't want to do is drag the engine down and loose frequency on the generator though it will work fine right up to the point the engine can't maintain PTO speed. AC motors get all pi$$ed off at that point and don't play well.
Not saying thermal mass isn't a plus just be aware of the load.

Agreed! For continuous loads, you want 2hp per kw...

That allows some leeway for friction aged parts ect...

well of course you have to be aware of the load... if you know you can make, say 8000 watts.. don't be stupid and hookup a 18000w draw!

Also be aware that motor starts are higher than motor runs.
