Hi Gordon,
Be glad to have you test a new model also. Let me get it
a little closer to a finished product. Mark seemed to be the
most versatile one on the board, and I'm not sure if he
offered, or I asked him to test models. Seems like Mark uses
his tractor to do everything but make breakfast, so he was
a good choice. Also, Jack tests some for me. Both very
knowledgeable, professional people. As stated, I would love
to have you test one also. The new model will not be for
everyone. It will fill a void in my product line when a magnet
mount is desirable for temporary mounting. To many things
can go wrong when a magnet is used for long term mount.
I still recommend NO MAGNETS. Say someone uses magnet,
and the meter gets bumped. Many people would not go to
the trouble to level it again until later. Then it is not reading
correctly when needed. Or another person gets on tractor
and does not know meter has been bumped. Lawyers would
have a hey day with that one. I have a highway dept. that
uses thin adhesive strip on flat part of mounting bracket feet,
and then uses a thin flat bar magnet and another adhesive
strip on bottom of magnet.Kind of a sandwich affair. It
seems to work well. However, the magnets are very strong,
and the adhesive very aggresive. They are leased tractors,
and mounting holes are a no-no. If you need a new meter,
let me know. How about I offer a discount for repeat
customers besides the tbn discount????? No problem doing
it. Thanks Mark, Jack, Gordon, and all the rest of my friends, and customers here. Rick
