Propane powered trimmers??

I went to the store to buy one but they were out of stock. This was when there was no local source of alcohol-free gasoline. I had to go through the carb-cleaning ritual about every month on my Snapper trimmer. It didn't matter if I left fuel in or ran it dry. Refused to start next time without carb cleaning.

I would be using a 1.0 - 1.2 HP 4 stroke engine.
The only conversion kits I have found for the Honda GX25 (25cc) are $250 -300

So I would have to buy a 25cc engine 4 stroke ($200), then a conversion $250, so I am $450 in just the propane engine.

The 25cc Lehr and Crafsman LPG trimmers were selling for $150 - 180, i WAS HOPING TO FIND A USED ONE FOR ~ $50-80



Have you looked into getting a propane carb for a replacement for the gas carb?
