PA has this all messed up!!

There is a 3 page thread on WeldingWeb about this item where a guy has taken it apart to add a pedal and general discussion .Princess auto ac dc tig

For a short time after it launched they offered a footpedal then they took it back off because it "wont work". Its actually internally compatible with a pedal but for some stupid reason PA ordered it with the pedal option disabled! After adding a pedal he can get it to switch on or off but no amp control yet.

Talk on WW is that it appears to be a Parweld XTI202p, which is identical to the TA186. Could be a cheap way to get a 186 if the pedal situation can be figured out.

Eric, don't remember if you were wanting to TIG aluminum, but from the Q&A -

"Are you suggesting that this welder can TIG aluminum? To weld aluminum with DC you need to use mixed helium as the shielding gas. Surely you're not suggesting that qualifies it as "capable to weld aluminum", are you? Aluminum TIG typically requires AC.
