Hey there, I'm new to TBN but have been reading on the site for some time. The posts have been very helpful and I really appreciate having real insight into brands and reviews from people who aren't trying to sell me something! A welcome change!
I just bought a new massey 1529 and a harley tm-5 for the back of it... Like most harley rake owners I took the financial leap hoping to recoup some of the cost in work. That said, I haven't found very much recent or relevant data on how much people are charging to do this type of work. I had my lawn (1 acre property) installed by a guy with a SS and a harley rake in about 3 hours and he charged me $500 cash ( but that was 7 years ago)I was glad to pay that to save my back the 6 loads of topsoil.. And the job he did was incredible.
Are there any guys out there regularly doing this type of work installing lawns, and if so, how do you quote your jobs? Do you have a hard time selling it to people who haven't seen what the rake can do?
