Power Broom build

/ Power Broom build #41
We wanted PTO drive so we could achieve the same broom speed with any tractor. And no leaking on the pavement.

I think ours has a 1.5:1 drive ratio and i run 1500rpm so 350rpm. It does require a mud flap to prevent it from throwing very wet mud, or very dry dust in your neck, all over the tractor.

You get more use out of the broom if you have it spin hard and barely touch. If you achieve the same brushing action by running it slower and letting it ride hard, the hairs will bend more and drag the outer inch over the pavement, which makes them wear a lot faster.
