Richard,
I am almost at a complete loss for words. I can not bring myself to view all the photos and the ones I have viewed have tears in my eyes. I remember the photo of Wiggles from when you posted it this past summer, in fact I saved it to my screen saver because he looked so adorable.
Words cannot convey how sorry I am for you and your family.

Just got home from work and as usual one of my first "tasks" was to check out TBN. Man I am so sorry for your pets and for you and your family. Daisy and Wiggles both look like they were great pets! Thanks for posting the warning even though I only had just met them I could not bear to see how they suffered. I cannot comprehend the thought process (or lack of one) that goes on in the head of people who do these kind of things. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Im sorry to hear of your loss /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I would do the same is my 2 pups died the same way.
My advise is to post A REWARD FOR 1000.00 in the paper.
Who ever did this has bragged about it to his buddys by now
and they know its a quick way to make some $$ and turn in a scoundrel at the same time, he could of bragged in a tavern, or in front of someones little brother ect.. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Its worth a try

Ernie - I think that's a great idea for anyone of TBN who wants to contribute. Richard - give us an address and I'll throw in a check towards the reward.

oops, to the moderators, I see the "warning graphic photo" on the 3 pics.

I just want to say that I'm sorry I did not think about putting that out. that was very correct for you to do that, insensative of me NOT to and I appreciate your modification.

I'll go listen to 20 minutes of disco music for my indescretion. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Well darn it, I can't find my intermediate pictures.

the following pictures will show the 20 tons I dealt with on Monday. Remember that this was done WITH the written permission of TVA, and not me being a vigilante... hmm.. although that IS an interesting idea, let's not go there (publically /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

This is "cemetary road" the dogs were found maybe 100 feet beyond the opening there and this is one of the major traffic points for anyone getting in or out of the woods

I dumped these 2 rocks to keep anyone from passing through the opening and down the road. No idea how big they are, but I had a HUGE grin on myface when I dropped them. In fact, as they fell out of my bucket, I think I muttered something vindictive about "take that" though I'll never admit to being that childish, NOR being that polite in my word choice.

Richard,

Just a note to say I'm sorry for the loss of your best friends to you and your family. I didn't look at all your pics, but I remember similar tragedies when I was a kid growing up. Led to me being very vigilant about posting and monitoring my property as an adult. Like you, I have no problem with respectful hunters, but unfortunatley swine like this gives hunters a bad name.

Know that our thoughts are with you and yours...

the first two rocks I put down (last pic) were the ones that caused two hunters to call the sheriff and complain. the Sheriff then called TVA and the TVA dude came out, looked at the 2 rocks and said, yep, that's about exactly like I told him to place them...and yes mr. Sheriff, he has my written permission to be doing all of this" (YEAH BABYYYYYYYYY...that was said right in front of the complaning hunter!)

Realizing they will simply park in FRONT of the rocks and on the roadside... I decided to alter it a bit more and help entice people to NOT do that

Now these rocks are literally 100 feet from my mailbox and I see them daily coming and going...so ANY yahoo that tries to move them will not only likely be heard, it will be but hours before I SEE it and will apply appropriate pressure BACK on the rocks, such that they resume their blockage patterns.

The 20 tons of rocks cost me $198 and some odd pennies delivered same day

this is the other part of road where we have issues and where I can not find the pics of the TREES I had across here. They were entire (though very dead & brittle) pine trees that I put here initially. this day, I moved them to that trail and replaced with the remainder of the rocks

This is the other opening they use. they circle around the two openings, going through a deep mud puddle tossing mud all over the road, making the ruts larger...worse..they will do this at 2:00 am, waking the neighbor (my nearest) who's house is directly behind me, a mere 100 feet away. Oh..and the yahoos that come out late at night like that, ALSO have open pipes on their 4-wheelers, very polite thing to do at 2:00 am.

This was the first, origional opening they used. You can clearly see one of the two large rocks I dropped there (again, at my expense) I had several trees (cedar) dropped INSIDE the puddle they were making larger & larger. you can see the butt ende of one of them next to rock (trees laying away from the view).

Well, I have about 4 trees in this puddle to keep them out, and other day, some yahoo felt he could ride the log, go between the rock and the tree... seems he was right.

Soooooooooooooooo, now that I see my weakspot, I adjusted it a tad by adding the branch that you see going crossways. All the other trees (one can be seen in distance) are straight back, blocking the "road" (cough cough) that goes back to "no mans land".

I've already decided that since the quarry is maybe 2 or 3 miles away, I'll just putter over there on a Saturday morning to pick up 2 rocks like this at a time (roughly $5.00 each) and place them in "holes" that these considerate people create. Personally, I think the road would be attractive if the whole road had a large boulder placed about every 4 feet.

guess Rome wasn't built in 1 day either... maybe someday I can bounce my grandkid on my lap and talk about the day "before the rocks" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Richard,

I have miss typed my thought and you found it!!!! I meant to say ......just sitting around sulking and feeling angry......I left out the sitting around part. I totaly heard your anger. This makes me want to load up the Kubota and come help with placing the rocks. But I would have to buy an FEL and a trailer. I guess that would be a good thing!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Again..... I really feel your anger and pain and I find those bad words muttered from my own mind when thinking of the idiots that have caused this pain.

Richard,

My sympathies go out to you and your family. It truly is an outrage.
