I have a plow I purchased from QuickAttach with wings that make it a snow pusher and just fold around the back for storage when not needed and I also have a grader blade for the rear and a 3 pt. sander that works great. P2100017 (2).JPGP2100018 (3).JPGP1260005 (4).JPGP1280013 (4).JPG

I doubt that will be much of a problem. The worst that will probably happen is a little bit of wet snow will pack in the gap, in effect filling it in so the snow that follows will slide on past.

This was my thought.

Man - when I had my 3-point blower I made a set of "wings". Crude & ugly would have been a very kind description. HOWEVER - they did work, even if I had to unbolt & remove, to straighten out, occasionally.

I think your fancy wings will work great and are the cats meow..............

i have the exact same plow. those blades work great

Great people at QuickAttach. I'm thinking of a 3 Pt. blower, but my 1000' gravel driveway is making me think hard if it will work well enough or just throw stones or break shear pins.

A properly set up and operated 3 pt blower should not be breaking shear bolts from some gravel. My 90" inverted blower was bought new in 2008 and still has the factory shear bolt as it has never broken. I have a long gravel driveway as well + clear about a kilometer of grass and ground walking trails thought the farm. When the ground is very soft, the blower throws sod with no problem

Don't be too influenced by the experiences of those with front mounted blowers as some of those implements are a bit fragile.

If you have some fabricating skills, you can add casters or wheels to keep the blower up just a little. The skid shoes don't seem to do the job when things are soft but it all depends upon many variables.

This is the ideal add on. The wheels are lower hydraulically.

Thanks Dave, good info. That's a nice set-up, I like it. Maybe next year for the blower, this year it's too late and I'm sure the prices are premium.

Just added the snow pusher this year for light jobs. I'll use the blower for the bigger stuff.

If the blower has skid shoes, just set them high enough to minimize picking up gravel

I'll keep all the great advice on snow blowing a gravel driveway in the back of my mind. I'll get thru this winter with my plow and grader blade. I've gone 25 yrs. with a plow truck and the tractor w/bucket. Now I don't have the plow truck any more, but I bought that plow blade for the Kubota and have used it in conjunction with the plow truck and now just the tractor. If my wife will still permit me to buy the snow blower after this winter, I'll try to have it for next winter.

Finally got the blower home this morning. Meteor SB68 with 3" wings added to each side giving me a total width of just over 74"

Looks formidable and ready to go to work. Need snow.. :D

Do you have to control depth by the 3 ph height, or let it float on the ground while blowing snow? Maybe there are skid shoes that keep the lower edge up a bit so it doesn't dig up gravel.

Nice unit, good tire chains, I'm keeping my eyes open for a 96" blower for the right price.
