Mattridessleds, just curious but do you think only one piece of angle (slotted piece) is enough to support the plow? I wonder if you might want to add one or two more pieces to add stability to your setup, which by the way you did a very nice job.

We'll see how it goes. That slotted piece is about 3/8 thick it is actually the old jack stand to the plow that got cut at the angle to make it fit there. Debated about just rigging up the chain like it would be on the plow if it was on a pickup but so far i used it the otherday to grade the driveway a little just for kicks and I like being able to move the plow in 6 directions and being able to put down pressure on it. The bottom is welded all the way around that rectangular metal piece I think it will hold up. If not i'll add some gussets or something later.

I've been holding off on showing my winter setup as I was waiting to receive my new snow pusher. While I like the snow blower for long runs, I really prefer a front plow for the large parking areas.

You'll notice I have the Pull-type blower where you drive over the snow and the blower scrapes up and blows it out of the way. It saves on the neck strain and cleans up the driveway really well.

We just got our first snow around Georgian Bay and you can see the ground isn't yet frozen. I've got the skid shoes set up as high as possible to save the gravel but it's so much easier once everything's frozen up.

Have a good season everyone!

John

How much did that snow pusher cost and what brand
Thanks. Andre

new set up - it will probably never snow again!
I also switch from turfs to loaded ags and it has all kinds of traction

I love my Ag's in the snow. You will wonder why you lived without them this long.

I prefer using this over my tractor for snow removal.
I have one of those as well, much easier for the wife to use when I am out of town. Truck to clean up the majoriy and the tractor, w/FEL and rear blade, to clean up after.

Here is my 955 with front blade. Nothing like waiting until mid December to get it ready. No snow yet here in Iowa but I'm sure it will come eventually. Still have to finish installing rear chains.
