Same here. Bow season opens tomorrow and I will be in the woods. Missed last years bow season due to broken leg during Sept / Oct. Food plots look good, acorns are falling. I plan to be in oak groves near green fields.

Great plot you have there and great pictures. You have the same problem we do regarding game camera pictures......Great shots of turkeys in the day time, Great shots of bucks at night. And all of this is BEFORE season. If they are traveling only at night in September, hunting will be difficult in October - January.

Yes, been awhile since I got a day time picture of a buck (8 cameras running) but 2 of 3 of us have doe tags this year.

I have 3 main food plots, one is about 2 acres and others are patches, really, irregular shaped and well protected from normal traffic. There are also some "walk & toss" patches in the woodsl but they did not come out so well. Think I left it too late to put in as the leaves are now mainly down and the clovers and such are barely visible to sunlight.

Our southern zones opens as well tomorrow. I never get to excited about opening week. When the breeding season kicks in, around Oct 25th, that when I'll put in 7+ hours a day. Don't hunt over foods sources either yet. Deer are in the woods eating falling leaves, thats where I'll be. The winds are gona blow here with lake effect rain showers. Sounds like it might be very interesting in the woods.

Hoooo Weeee!!! Look at all those curly boys. Looks as if they really love your beans, but I guess after November there will be fewer of them to enjoy another feast next crop.

Ahh, Mr. Carver . . . . Where exactly in North Carolina do those big fellas reside??? lol

No food plot, but these have been coming around eating what is left of the plum and apples. There is four of them, but could only get three in one shot at a time. Just moved to the area this spring, 40 acres, haven't seen any bucks just does.

brokenknee, those does look very healthy. They are finding food somewhere, and the bucks cannot be far behind......in the dark

Plenty of food around, my forty is mostly wooded, but a lot of corn fields not far away. I am sure there are bucks around just haven't much time to spend outside since we moved. Purchased a "project" house and between trying to remodel to make it livable and move from our other home about 150 miles south of here, free time is at a premium. Currently have the kitchen stripped to the studs, hoping to have it done before thanksgiving.

We had our first "flury" of snow this morning. Nothing much, but it was snow. Have to find time to mount the blower to the tractor before we get some real snow. :)
