Mare Tail weeds taking over food plots.

Mare Tail weeds are taking over my alfalfa and clover food plots, about 5 acres total. I cannot find a spray that will kill mare Tail and not harm the alfalfa and clover. I understand that there are drip sprayer to coat mare tail weeds when they out grow alfalfa. But this method is new to me and would require new equipment so I would prefer a herbicide solution?

I wish but 2,4,D Kills alfalfa and clover more effective than mare tail weed. I believe you meant 2.4,DB, it's safe for the alfalfa and clover but doesn't kill mare tail weed.
