Do these little diesel engines have pcv valves? I'm guessing they do.. but I can't recall where they are located? Or is the oil dipstick the positice crankcase vent? <G>

thanks

Chris

My 3 cyl. engines all have a crank case vent on the top of the valve cover with a hose going down the side of the motor.

My 2cyl yanmar has the "road draft" style of vent tube. Larger diesel's such as Detroit V6's and V8's have a PCV like device called a "spitter valve". As for Yanmar using a check valve like this, it would be in the engine section of the parts manuals. Len, Roger, and a couple of others can be more specific.
Good question tho... the idea behind there useage is to lessen the amount of condensation in the oil.
