Many have a favorite color tractor and swear by them and swear at the others. For those that own a TYM please advise the good and bad. Never owned one but have potential interest.

I've had mine three years, never had an issue, dealer has been great for regular maintenance parts

I would readily buy another TYM. I bought the two tractors I have primarily due to the availability of engine components. The Mitsubishi S3L series engines were used by a lot of manufacturers, in a lot of applications, and parts are readily available, at relatively low cost.

But, if buying new would shop around a bit. Since Covid, getting some of the parts out of Korea has been problematic, but the dealer I go through sells and services several brands and says that seem to be universal right now.

TYM654. Didn't come with a temp gauge, biggest complaint. I did figure out a work around with an aftermarket gauge. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

1) They cost quite a bit less than green or orange. In most cases, a lot less. This goes for new or used.

2) They are relatively simple, reliable and don't require expensive OEM fluids or filters in most cases.

3) I like the fact I was able to speak directly to a TYM regional rep when I had problems with my T224 before I took delivery of it. I also like that I have a "platinum" dealer within 100 miles of me.

The bads are going to be the same with any Asian, Indian, etc import. The rubber, plastic and soft parts tend to not take the elements well. Some welds and metallurgy can be iffy as well, but I think a lot of the bends and breaks you see people post up are due mostly to operator error.

I would not have a lot of faith in a TYM that needed to be used hard daily, commercial use or something I relied on to make a living.

My T25 has been great and I’ve worked it hard. No weld or plastic issues. Fit and finish is actually pretty damn good. Came with rear remotes and lights on the rops. Also Bluetooth speakers and wireless charging, but I haven’t tried those yet. Also has a 6 year drivetrain warranty.

I think it’s already paid for itself in 2 seasons. Currently using it to do a driveway up north. No disrespect to the person above me, but I wouldn’t judge the whole line on one model.

I just passed my 1 year anniversary with my 4820C. So far, so good.
It does a good job with what I've asked it to do.

Here are my complaints.

I wish it has more hydraulic flow.
There is no options for factory remote additions.

I hear you. I'm just stating what I've experienced myself and what I've seen/read on the various forums and platforms for what that's worth. How many hours have you put on your T25 so far in 2 seasons?

I put 50 hours on last season and about to hit another 50 now. That’s going up every couple weeks or so. If I was there full time it would be higher.

Here’s my latest job, breaking through this old embankment to start a driveway. This is about 3.5 feet high and 10 feet or so deep of hard packed soil with rocks on the interior, and roots from the trees grew on top. This was old farmland that was sold off in chunks. An excavator would be the right tool for this job but I don’t have one, just a bucket and piranha bar :).

Still a work in progress. Have to clean up the entrance and shape it. Also need to use the box blade to dig down so I can put down a base. Pic is misleading, that’s a bit over 75 feet in length and will be probably 100 when I’m done.

I've owned 2 TYM tractors, a 2007 27 hp and a 2017 45 hp. Also own a Kubota L35. I like that the TYM was much less than other makes. That said they are not made as well as some of the other brands. I sold the 27 HP with about 1000 hours. My 45 hp has about 1000 hours now. About every seal that can leak is leaking. I changed the front axle seals one time but a few years leaking again so I run 00 grease in it now. I just let the rear seals leak. The display has gone out but Ive not replaced it yet. Ive had to weld the loader frame. I added some extra bracing and tack welded it to the frame so if the bolts get loose again it will hold. If I had the extra money I would have bought another Kubota instead. My L35 have not given any trouble. If You buy a TYM, you need to be a good mechanic and welder or have a great dealer close by that is willing to help when warranty is out

I love my T474 in my 5th year of ownership and 622h without problems, the problem I ran into was my own while mowing a new customer's field that said "oh yeah, it's been cleared".....sure man...... Anyway, in a leaning terrain downhill with 6 foot brown dead canadianpokey thistles there was a bent oldrusty tpost, it snuck under my loader bucket and front axle.......but not my under carriage when I got stuck on it, the pokey weeds covered everything underneath there, and Iwasn't gonna lay down in it. But it ended up kinking2-3 hard hydraulic lines, the HST pedals pedestal and some small pieces of wiring. But now I'm waiting for parts from Korea, I took it straight to the dealer as I did not want to do that job. 1st time I'm NOT praying for snow this fall. :cry:

5520H 150hrs @ a bit under a year.

The good. Cost, power, it's been simple to work on, drives nicely enough, gets done what I need to get done for the most part.

The downsides. The 3pt is jerky on the lift (apparently a problem on a lot of newer korean tractors), the FEL is effectively single operation (doesn't have as nice of proportional valves as my Kubota), the radiator screen is slightly annoying to pull (and was blocked by the overflow hose which was stupid to have to take off for every cleaning.. I fixed thaty by buying a slightly longer hose and re-routing it) - I guess that falls into "fit and finish" although the rest has been generally fine. The turbo is a touch thirsty fuel wise.. but having the extra oomph on the pto has been nice. I don't have a cab, there have been more reports of problems with the heater/ac in those.

I've also wanted a heavier tractor with draft control .. but like.. that's on me ... I knew what I was buying lol... trade offs.

What do you mean there are no factory options for addition of remotes. When I purchased, they came with none, I had TYM add two.

That looks awesome.

I think what sours a fella is if you follow any of the FB TYM groups, it's one post after another of super low hour, 2, 3 and 4 digit TYM machines with bent loader components, bent or broken grapples, bent cylinders, broken subframes, etc.. I know much of it is just plain user abuse and I'm sure other make/models suffer the same fate as well, but all the TYM related forums are very lively with this type of situation. I think most of us here on TBN are a little more conscious and take better precaution.

I have looked at TYM tractors and they look great. I'm just not so sure about quality.
I owned a Korean vehicle once because it looked great. Boy was I a sucker ! Never again !
I currently have a 2013 Kubota that I have beat the he11 out of almost daily ! Only issues I've had is the safety switches going bad which I just jumped out

When I purchased, they came with none, I had TYM add two.

I'm on a non-cab version of the 20 series IDK on cabs.. but yeah I had the dealer ship me the two port rear remote setup. It was pretty easy to install if you're even moderately handy.

I did replace one set of the Ag connectors with skid steer flat face (sooo much nicer).

If I was doing it again IDK I might just get a monoblock mount it on platform or maybe the fender and make a pass through block on the back to put the ports on. The limit of 2 rears on the 20 series plus no float option is mildly annoying if you want top & tilt plus an implement (and yes I could use a splitter for top/tilt.. but float would be nice if I get a ditch & bank at some point... I may still do that..).

Something like this

or one of the prince valves from surplus center.. plus ofc the mess of hoses and connectors to put it all together .. I think it'd be cost competitive anyway and more featured.

What do you mean there are no factory options for addition of remotes. When I purchased, they came with none, I had TYM add two.
Mine had two remotes from the factory, there is no option to add any more. I added a 3 valve kit from summit to get the number I wanted.

The T25, and my T233 and T293 have a factory kit to add one rear remote, (same kit may fit others in the same horsepower range). I'm looking at adding a second factory rear remote on the 293. Hydraulicly, it will stack on top of the one I have installed with just longer bolts. From a hydraulic standpoint you could stack them up as far as you want, by using threaded rods instead of bolts. But, I'm not sure there is room beneath the seat, without raising it, for more than one, and I'm not sure how to route the control handle, which on the one valve just stick out under the front of the seat.

The T233 is an open cab, and I'm considering adding a second loader valve in the hydraulic line from the stock loader valve to the rear remote valve, with the cable-controlled handle mounted in the right fender, to run a top and tilt setup. The two tractors have the same fenders, and the 233 has smaller rear tires, which leaves quite a bit of room under the fender for the valve, and hoses.

There was a guy on eBay who had bought the inventory of a closed TYM dealer, and had the factory NIMCO loader valves, for $175, NOS in the box. So, I bought the two he had. He also had a rear remote valve for $150 so I bought it thinking I can stack it on the rear remote valve in the T293, to run top and tilt on it.

Feature wise my T574 fits the bill for anything you want to do. I have had two. The first was unfixable and after 30 months of pulling teeth to get TYM to fix it they replaced it. Now the new one has the same problem and TYM is just ignoring it. I would never never buy another TYM because my experience proves TYM customer support a total failure. Plus, the owner's manual for the first 574 had misinformation on just about every page and the second was little better. For example, both had the wrong capacity for engine oil changes. Never again.

The only "issue", front end loader has no proportional control, with a bucket it is acceptable but with forks it can be a nightmare.
rear remote does acting " weird" from time to time.

anoying issues:
bucket and forks are not 100% straight anymore, and i'm not a hard user at all !! But the buket and forks are still good enough to use. Pretty sure other people would say, "they are still straight" ;-)
Engine Oil dipstick accessibility is terrible
gearbox/ hydraulic breather rubber siphon thing is sheap

For the rest so far, nice and fun little tractor
