Hey Murph, we just finished two days of rain here, but over the next few days, they`re talking about a few inches of snow again. I`ll scrape together a video or at least some pics of it climbing mountains of snow (if we ever get any).
Hi, glad to find you. I am in the process of maybe buying a new Mechron 2200 with field cab for plowing in the winter. I see that with the track system you say is useless in the snow and I am wondering how or why you say that. I thought a track system would have alot more traction etc than tires. Is your track 4 seasons or just summer just curious to see if it is worth for me to invest in a track. This is a switch out every spring and fall. I could have bought a good used snowmobile for around the same price, but I hate having the side by side sitting here unuseable in the winter. (it`s useless in snow) Its like a pickup for the woods, being a 900 CC diesel engine, it can haul anything anywhere. I have a DR Versatrailer that I use with it and together, I can load and haul a single cord of firewood at a time. Now I can use it all year long.
That was the initial install, so now that everything is setup and adjusted and I kinda know how to install it, 3 - 4 hours should switch things around. Assuming I remember from season to season!
Gilles, He's saying before he put the tracks on it was useless and it just sat all winter.Hi, glad to find you.
