What does location have to do with it? :confused3:

The OP is looking for opinion on the price of the machine of his neighbor. He is not looking for suggestions to get a new tractor.

Back to the question, can't comment on prices over there, but try to know the year and hours of the machine so people here can have a better idea of the machine and help you with the pricing.
And no, we don't really need your location. It's optional, not mandatory.

TractorHouse.com is a good place to get a general idea what price others are asking for a particular model of tractor.

Open station I'm guessing. No idea on price, but it's not going to there very long. Some including me prefer it over the L6060.

Yes Sir, open station. I did the tratordata and tractorhouse thing before I posted. I guess I was mostly wondering what you guys thought of the l5240.

I never considered a Kubota. I was mostly researching Fords/ New Holland, LS and Mahindras.

I look at lots of used tractors and that sounds like a good deal.

FYI...

The Grand L 40's have two submodels during their manufacturing run. The newer models are -3 as in L5240-3. They can be differentiated by the earlier version in the way the PTO engages. The -3 models will use an electrical rotary switch to engage the PTO, while earlier versions will use a manual lever. If you purchase the tractor, you'll need to know which version when purchasing replacement parts in some cases.

I believe the -3 models were offered in 2010.

Does the tractor in question have a FEL?

Good luck!

A tier 3 52 hp Kubota.
With implements included in the deal
Well maintained
$20k
What’s not to like there? Assuming the sheet metal is good, and it comes with a fel.
