Opinion on Jeffords switch

About McCain, I just read this morning in the paper that the Arizona Reps. are telling McCain that he is to repersent them not his own interest. They went as far as to tell him if he keeps up as he is going, they will start a recall against him and they will not rollover like the people of Vermont, in Arizona, a persons word is taken for the turth. Interesting.

Isn't that what they're supposed to do? I mean they are not "supposed" to be there to further their own interests they are supposed to be there to serve the voice of the peope that elected them. This is where I have a problem with Jeffers. The people that elected him were mostly republicans and he let them down. I'm not saying that he isn't a good guy and all but that is where the fault is at. Same way with McCain. What are the people of AZ telling him? If they're telling him to vote this way and that and be the person he is then fine, but it seems to me that McCain, like most of them, just serve their own interest and screw the public. Except at election time, tell everyone you meet what they want to hear.
